Post: Inquiry – SWOT

Inquiry – SWOT

SWOT evolved out of a Stanford University study of Fortune 500 companies that had a 35% gap between the company objectives and their employee actions.
Employees were not clear on what they were supposed to be doing and why.
SWOT was designed to address the gap.
Note: as you can see, it doesn’t address the gap. It doesn’t address vision and
objectives: it is a “setting strategy” exercise.

SWOT questions:

What are our strengths and how can we emphasize them?
What are our weaknesses and how can we minimize them?
What are our opportunities and how can we maximize them?
What are out threats and how can we avoid them / minimize them?

Ask these questions about a personal or professional situation in your life.
